Awesome, it's Doom!

Heh, sounds great! I never played Doom II, but this music certainly does grab the mood of the Doom series. What soundfont was the cello? Was its filename BHCello.sf2? Because I have the same exact one! Lol. The guitars were pretty cool. Do you think you could tell me what soundfonts they are and/or where to find them? As you can see, I'm really looking into the whole soundfont business. One of the guitars even sounded like it was from the FL Slayer.

So I hear you're an alt of DarkOtaku. You gave me some pretty good advice back in the day, remember? With my "Neo Arcadia REMAKE2" and the "M64 Bowser Battle REMAKE?" You should check out/review some of my new stuff, I started making good original stuff! I ask for reviews, beg and plead for them, when I write an original song, and do I get reviews? No. I'd really value your input on either of your accounts. I'm desperate for attention!

LightOtaku responds:

Actually, I have a habit of fusing guitars together. One of the "elements" of the guitar I used was indeed the DISTROCK guitar from FL Studio. You've never played Doom II? Look for it right now! It's amazing. It's the best one! Viva La DOOOOM!!!
*ahem*
Yes the soundfont was the BH Cello. Limewire is good for soundfonts, you might wanna check it out. Also search on google. But that only works when you include the name of the instrument you're looking for, or else you find a bunch of crap.
Yes I remember, Sorry if I've left you in the dark all this time. Then attention you'll get, I'll review your stuff as soon as I get the chance... ALMOST 200 SONGS?! this'll take a while... How about I review all the original stuff instead. =_=

Tight battle music!

This would be really appropriate in a Final Fantasy game, if Final Fantasy used techno. It's very videogamish, and would sound good in just about any RPG. Maybe that's a future project of you? ;)

demoninabottle responds:

wow, second time you mentioned a career in vg music. Anyways, thanks for the review. Also, in case you didn't notice, I requested that Tom delete my drum rifs and he did!

Shut up, FXSCREAMER.

We know this isn't a midi-rip because there aren't any midis of this song. Think before you type! And even if this was a midi-rip, who seriously cares enough to shout death threats, anyway? I'll tell you who: whiny losers like you.

Fantastic work, DJ! Even if it is just a piano!

You played this yourself?

On a real, live piano? Wow. I don't see real performances on the Newgrounds AP very often. Nice work!

DynastyX151 responds:

Yeah i just played this but now that i see it looks like newgrounds cut it off on the end... my dad owns a radio station in my home town in little old South Dakota and i used the recording booth. too bad my scores already bottomed out, mabey i made it sound too much like the original lol. thanks for my first review im glad for the 9!

Awesome!

Your DnB stuff is awesome! Keep it up!

Chainsaw time!

Heh...I like saws as much as Fighter from "8-Bit theater" loves swords!

The distortion and echo on the plucked-trancey-things was very nice. This is, like, your best song! You're getting to the point where you're awesome! You've really left all those crappy drum riffs behind!

This sounds really appropriate in one of the Megaman games or something. You know, Megaman music was inspired by a combination of techno and rock. Hmmm...do I see your future? Making kickass VG music?

Best way to improve it: make it easier to loop.

demoninabottle responds:

Wow, I'm glad my scores from you are steadily rising. Thanks!

Nice.

The piano or bell or celesta or maybe organ thing or whatever it is really captured the unknown thing for me, it was better than your first song. I hope that you improve with every single song you do.

what program are you using? Your stuff sounds pretty synthetic and videogame-ish(not that that's a bad thing;)!). Are you using GarageBand, FruityLoops, Reason, Gigastudio, or Finale?

Dunnanunna responds:

Lol well im really cheap. Im using finalenotepad. I want to make a videogame song. I cant really buy any good audio programs, seeing as they are all 100+ dollars. I like music, but id rather waste money playing videogames than making thier music. Then again... i am getting a.... uhhh.... what do they call it? A joob... jorb...jib....Job! Thats it, im getting a job this summer (hopefully) And ill probably buy a really cheap audio program. But if you know any free audio programs (other than finalenotepad and anvil studio) please tell me so i can have better material. Finalenotepad is too limited with its instuments, but i like being able to put the notes dirctly on the music sheet. Anvil studio has a ton of instruments, but i have to use the piano thingy... and i don't play piano....

Cool! I hate Bush!

This is great! Look at the "General Rock" category, lots of your songs are on the first page! You know what that means: You're the ParagonX9 of the General Rock audio portal.

Really funny song. Yeah, Bush is such a retard. I should totally move to Canada.

Sevens across the board!

It's kinda not classical, I can tell that you used some brass styruses, but that's not enough.
Look up "Soundfonts" on Google. You'll find a site called HammerSounds. It has a bunch of these things called "Soundfonts." You download them into the "Soundfonts" folder of the FL Studio Data folder(in the program files). You'll find some much better instruments. They're so good, you'd be crazy not to use theme.

Onto your song(now that my rant is over). The title doesn't really fit with me very well, it doesn't seem so "Harbringer of Joy-ish". Maybe get another person to title your songs for you. I can tell that you're taking time and working hard, you just need better titles and instruments.

Check out some of my new audio!

demoninabottle responds:

Okay, thanks for the constructive critisism. I'll be sure to review some of your new music.

It's nice.

But a little too cheerful for me, and seems a bit too fanfare-ish to be "taking a walk in a garden." On a different note, this is much better than my first audio submission! You show lots of promise.

Dunnanunna responds:

Lol I have limited audio making skills... seeing as i have no money to buy better audio programs. But oh well. I am improving by the day (mostly with rythim_man's help), and my next ones.... still cheerful. I dunno why, but i can never choose the right instruments. That is the only problem i have......and making the right tune....... Ill start on a "darker" song

Woah, me? Showing promise? Cool! Thanks man, still loving your work btw
