You told me that my song "Night of the Wolf" was better than this! You dirty liar!
The only problems with this song are the panning and the volume. The overall volume of the entire song was too high, and it kind of dulled down the quality, especially with the violin. Otherwise, this song is amazing. It has a great feudal Japanese feel to it, I can almost picture it being in a martial arts movie or a samurai movie or even an anime!
Everyone keeps saying it reminds them of a movie called "the last samuri" I think im going to go buy it and watch it to see what they mean.

This is a wonderful ambient song. I loved the repetitive pianoish instrument, but the pan flute sounded a little out of place to me, it didn't blend as well as all of the pads and instruments. I wasn't a big fan of the drums either, I think they would sound better with some kind of reverb and/or a tiny, tiny bit of delay. Also, I think that the song (not referring to the sound effects) cuts off a bit short.
It's very good-sounding, though.

The synths in this song nearly gouged my ears out! My new hearing aid is going to be coming straight out of your wallet!
The drums, however, were great! It's just that this song would be much better if it wasn't continually trying to permanently damage my hearing. I mean, there's a limit to how heavy and assaulting a synth can be and you ignored it.
Actually this is LIGHT in terms of Noizecore, listen to Venetian Snares for 5 minutes and you'll understand what I mean (but their drumlines are the most insane I have ever heard)

This is pretty good! It instantly caught my attention. I loved your use of saws and squares. Also, the synthy sound effects you had panning every once in a while were really nice. The drums were also very well done. Nice work.
yeah I really don't know what I really used. I just know that I used soo many instruments that I can't keep track of which ones I used. I love panning function so I can get my notes more clear. However one part of the song I purposely made it muffled to show the chaos. System override :) Thanks for the review

The drums in this piece were pretty good, in terms of quality. However, I would have enjoyed it if there had been some variation in the first half. The disc-scratch sound was a bit low-quality.
In the second half, I enjoyed the addition of an actual melody besides a bassline. The Doppler-effect siren got a bit annoying, though.

I got great Egyptian vibes from the modulating synth you used. I didn't follow your play-by-play deconstruction of your song (I prefer for my own mind to supply the pictures), but I got a nice "OMG EPIC BATTLE" feeling from the whole song. The part where the guitar becomes predominant, accompanied only by the organ and a choir(?), (before it goes into a bunch of Arabic melodies) sounds almost triumphant to me, like the hero is kicking Anubis's ass from here to Europa.
When I first saw this advertisement, I was expecting an orchestral song, not an industrial one, but it's good either way.
Yeah, it does have that epic feel to it, but I think it fits in pretty well.

Not bad.
I like this song--its composition felt very solid and well-done. One problem--your high string ensemble doesn't quite do short notes well such as when the strings are accompanying the piano in the beginning.
This piece, unfortunately, lacked something that I think is integral for "epic" music--percussion! Through the song, I heard no timpani, snares, cymbals, not even a tubular bell or glockenspiel. Having that kind of stuff could really improve the song in my viewpoint.

I first encountered this piece on the NGAP Radio, and promptly downloaded it after the first staccato shout, not even bothering to listen to the entire song before putting it straight onto my MP3 player (you're in there right between Harry Gregson-Williams and Hans Zimmer!).
The image I got from this one was very much like the image you got from my song, "Funeral Dirge"--a bloody battle has just been fought, the ground is a mass of blood and gore, and a few survivors stumble through it all, trying to make sense of a world turned upside down.
The one thing that amazed me the most was the drums. The samples were amazingly lifelike, and reminded me a lot of Edgen's drums. Are you using the same drum samples he is, or something else?

With that out of the way, allow me to respond to it properly.
I love Hans Zimmer, to be compared to him is very flattering, but for that comparison to hold water, i'm going to have to travel a good distance yet, and I intend to with every fiber of my being. I will get there one day, and then I will sell cupcakes and bake cookies, and mix things with my conductor stick!
I have deemed it as such.
As for Edgen's drum samples, I don't know exactly what he uses, but these drums were from East West Collossus' Ethnic Drum patch, which had a great range of sounds that I enjoyed to use as much as to hear.

I really enjoyed the bell-ish instrument in the beginning--it sounded very calming and peaceful. The sweeping formant-ish pad that played was a nice touch as well; it made me think of waves crashing on a shoreline, more peaceful imagery!
I kept waiting for this song to develop and become richer. Sadly, it never happened. I think this song could be improved if you had a bit more...maybe more pads in the background as the song progressed.

This is, by far, the glitchiest song I have ever listened to. It was a very new experience for me. While its disjointed discord can really put people off listening to this in my opinion, I think it's very interesting.
The synths that mimicked glitchy drums was my favorite part of the song--I just liked how alien they sounded compared to what I usually listen to. Then again, I could say that about the entire song.
Thank you - the drums are almost entirely made from modulated white noise. (Almost) As far as "glitchiest song you've ever listened to" goes - if you're into that sort of thing (which it doesn't really sound like you are)then I have plenty of others that are just as messed up =)
