Not really DnB...

This isn't really DnB at all, as many have pointed out already, so I won't go into that. The synths were good, but some were too loud and kind of hurt my ears. The "whomp" synth especially got annoying with its high volume at parts. Different parts of the drums stop now and then, which I find very annoying. It's all right, though, you should just think about more volume control.

TMM43 responds:

I kinda wanted this to be a loud song, but not to the point that it hurt your ears. I'm sorry about that. I will turn that down.
After listening to this song over and over, I noticed that the "Whomp" sound is REALLY annoying. haha. I'm taking that out.
Thanks for your review and time!

Whoa. Nice.

The intro was nice, it immediately grabbed my attention, followed by the drums and guitar. The sound quality is great, and I can see this took a lot of effort. This song is awesome--it beats the original, that's for sure! Rock on! \m/

DarKsidE555 responds:

Thanks a lot there mate! Yeah...I took me quite forever to finish it...damn lazyness. lol.

Glad you think it beats the original! That WAS my intent after all. ;D

Ooh. I like it!

I love the stuff in the beginning. The low, bubbly synth and the other dark pads sound excellent. I like the stutterish pad as well. The drums in this song are great, they blend in just about perfectly--although the cymbal crashes were a bit too incongruous. The sweeping synth caught me off guard with its high volume in relation to the rest of the sound, but it eventually blended in, just like the flute.

Buoy responds:

low blubby well that's actually a lead... at C -2 which makes about every synth drown in deepness

sure the synth had a lil high volume, that's the worst problem i had with the song, either it sounds really loud or far away. darn

thanks man

Needs a lot of improvement.

Get rid of that beat. It sounds absolutely horrible.
The snare cuts off too soon, and it just doesn't sound right like that. Apart from that, it's a slightly decent drumloop that you probably could have used in a longer song (as long as you removed that horrendous beep). No offense, but this song really, really...sucks. Keep practicing a lot more.

Neato.

Awesome synth in the beginning. The drums are incredible! I wish I could make DnB loops like that. The acid synth you used was pretty good too. The only think I didn't like were the lyrics--they sounded too distracting to me.

Para-Noid responds:

Lol review the newer one dude. It's a way better verison.

Nice.

I liked the shaky thing in the beginning. It went well with the synth. The drums were...weird, for lack of a better word. They added a lot more variety to the piece, though. At some points, though, I think the glitchyness got a little too intense, if you know what I mean. It started sounded less like music and more like a mad scientist's laboratory.

SineRider responds:

It does get pretty chaotic near the end, but I intended to do so. I thought it sounded pretty sick

Thanks for the review mate :D

Nice. Again.

Again, this sounds very good. I think I heard a synth beep or bell or something in there, but it might have been my imagination. The only things I didn't like were the drumrolls near the beginning. They just sounded a little out of place to me.

Nice.

I haven't checked out your stuff in a long time.

I like this song. It sounds like it's good enough for the radio already...although the bar for radio gets a little low sometimes. What I didn't like was when the singer (you?) hit any high notes. I just don't think he has the right voice for it. Another thing I didn't like was the static in the beginning and the screaming.

Nice.

First off, I have no idea what trip-hop is. I assume that it's really weird.

Now that that's out of the way, this song is really weird. That isn't a bad thing at all. Weird is awesome. I liked the synths you used. The fluttery one in the beginning, that growly modulating synth, et cetera. I liked how the drums would screw up or suddenly change pitch also, although the part where they were really deep interfered with the bassline. One thing that I liked was the crazy things you did with the vocals. They just sounded so cool all fucked up like that. Overall, this song's a win, even though you might want to smooth out the clarity and drums a bit.

SineRider responds:

Thanks man :D

w00t FDR lol!

I love the acid synth in this song. I just think it sounds so cool! Also, nice work working those FDR clips into the song--although you could have used more than two phrases. I think it would have made a great song to use more parts of the speech. The drums were good, too. Excellent work.

TheComet responds:

agreed on the vocal clips, I couldn't find any other quotes worth using in the speech and I didn't want to use clips from some other speech because they'd sound different as far as sound quality is concerned
