Whoa. 2!!!!

Awesome! I'm not the best at reviewing music, but I'll give it a try! I like the transitions between the darker and lighter parts, it's so fluid...I could never compose like that...in fact, I can barely compose, period. That's why I do VG remakes. My sister's the musical-talent-person in my family.

Better than part 1, I hope 3 tops 'em all!

Rythim-Man responds:

Dunnanunna, review his doom dragon. It's another song made for you...(I hope this doesn't make me your number 2 artist).

I'm a light person. I have light aura. Naturally my music is it's best when it's nice and happy and soft. I am also naturally legato because I am a romantic pianist. I don't think my music is better than yours, I think it's different. I really wish I could compose like you too.

I must admit though, this has to be my best piece! On this song, I didn't try to pull away from my romantic nature. I went along with it and still made an ok soft rock. None of these instruments really go together, but that works just fine in Kirby music. I used my favorites; bass and flute. I like trombone, but my program really butchers the sound of the trombone. That's why it's extra quiet in this song.

Whoa.

This is cool. I like the slide-y notes, whatever they're called. I don't know lots of musical terms, heh. It seems a little too quiet for me(I had to turn UP my volume to hear it in all its glory!), though, which dropped clarity down two points. But it's great, I can't wait to listen to part two and later a part 3!

Rythim-Man responds:

And that's what I worked on in the second part.

I'd also like to note that those delayed notes are delayed on purpose. That's how the song goes. Don't ask me why, I'm just the remixer.

You're the one who made that rockin remix of the star wars song!

Classical?...not.

What posessed you to put this into classical? It's not classical. Classical is strings section, brass section, Mozart and Beethoven, all those famous dead guys.
Now, the song: It's very repetitive and lacks variety in its main tunes. Adding more to them, like reinforcing them with other instruments or using simply more powerful and richer instruments would greatly improve this song.

demoninabottle responds:

Okay. Thanks for advice

Oh, crap...

Remember my review for "FullMetal OneWingedAngel Remix"? That was supposed to be for this song. Oops. Sorry about that. I hope I didn't cause too much confusion.

paradiddlesjosh responds:

No prob. For this version, I actually cut the vocal sections from the song and pasted them into this version, which would explain the off-sync sort-of. In later versions, as you may have listened to, I did find a soundfont with the ripped vocal tracks. I won't reveal just HOW you get the vocals, but I can send you the soundfont. It's instrument #6. Check each and every note until you find your stuff. Good luck.

And thanks for your review.

Good. Good.

This is great, not as great as the perfect version of this song, but still pretty darn good! I have something to ask you: How did you get the vocals(aka vocal-ripping)? I've heard about a soundfont where each note is a vowel or consonant or something like that, and you create the lyrics like that. That seems incredibly far-fetched to me. Or did you use a high-end program that approximates vocals? Or did you isolate the words from the original song? What'd you do? How? If it's a soundfont, could you email it to me, if it's not too much to ask for? My address is williamkakashi@hotmail.com.

paradiddlesjosh responds:

I read your other review before this one. I'll be sure to let you in on trade secrets. ^-^

WHOAholycrapAH!

Well, seems quiet so far......GAAH WHERE'D THOSE HITS COME FROM!
Okay...I got used to them. The repetitive hits make a nice solid theme, but this is too repetitive overall, some repetition is good but having nothing but repetition is bad.

It's a bit too slow and soft for battle.

With the fast acoustic guitar and quiet plucked strings, it sounds eerie, like Myst music or even Metroid Fusion music. It's a bit low in clarity, though.

demoninabottle responds:

yeah, I guess

What a MASTERPIECE!

Edgen, your compositions are amazing. Your K&K songs have the vigor of Don Davis's Matrix music, the epic spirit of Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings music, and the compositional integrity and leitmotifs of Jon Williams' Star Wars music, and your Dark Armada music is amazingly fitting and well-produced, echoing the familiar Star Trek themes that make it thematic and perfect. You are like a composite of my three favorite composers, and to think you do it all with a computer! What program do you use? All i know is, it sure as hell isn't Fruity Loops!

I personally like this piece because it does what it's supposed to do. It conjures up the image of a great vessel, manned by a great crew, going on a voyage(hence the name), full of fanfare that all the more enhances the experience.

Why don't you have all 2x Platinums or some diamond tracks like ParagonX9 does? I admit, I love techno/vg, but you deserve a lot more fame here on the Audio Portal than he does, your music, all of it, is just so amazing! I hope, and am sure that you share this hope, that you can make a solid career out of this stuff and design soundtracks and beautiful compositions like this to the end of your days!

Keep on making these gems!

WOOHOOFREAKINGAWESOME!

"ONE WINGED ANGEL" is as great as Don Davis's "NEODAMMERUNG"(the final Smith fight from Matrix Revolutions and my fave Matrix song).

"S-E-P-H-I-R-O-T-H! Perfect" is as great as Juno Reactor's "NAVRAS"(the Juno Reactor remix of Neodammerung)

Let's compare.
"NAVRAS":
Vocals from the original.
About a third longer than its subject.
Lots of original stuff to enhance the listening experience.
Hindu vocalizations that mean nothing at all except to show the Eastern religion themes behind The Matrix.

"S-E-P-H-I-R-O-T-H! Perfect":
Vocals from the original.
About a third longer than its subject.
Lots of original stuff to enhance the listening experience.
No Hindu vocalizations, to show the nonexistence of Eastern religion themes behind FFVII.

paradiddlesjosh responds:

Thanks for the review, and I hope that you were one of many who enjoyed it. ^_^

No way is this trance!

Sounds VG! Nice for you.

demoninabottle responds:
