You are closer!

You are inching closer and closer to getting straight tens from me! This is great, you are very good at backbeats and thematics. You really know how to make a decent song now, you've really left behind your past and all those shitty Demon's Drum riffs. The only real problem I can see is the transition from the beginning to the middle.

demoninabottle responds:

Thanks. Yeah, the transition didn't ease enough.

The beginning isn't soothing.

Once you get past it, it gets a little more tranquil. The fluttery sound effects at the end really make the title fit.

PS. You say this was in Warriaz: Gear Up but I don't hear it...

demoninabottle responds:

My friend made that, he musta taken it out!

It's good and thematic!

But you need to learn volume control(as do I).

demoninabottle responds:

okay

Do you use Fruity Loops?

Because if you do, then you're everything that I want to someday be!

Whoa...

Maybe I should ditch Fruity Loops and just get Reason.

Quiet and soothing.

Not my type, but it was still good, however.

demoninabottle responds:

THanks, yeah. I don't know, I should honestly have spent more time on this.

A little techno and trance! Yay!

Good. A little slow and quiet, but still good. Sounds a little videogame-ish. But what was up with the "Prepare for launch" voice? It didn't fit at all.

Cool.

But the background noise kinda drowned out the foreground beat, and that was the only part that didn't sound good.

xSarCastiCx responds:

Yeah, I wasn't really sure if I should include the beat or not - in the end, I decided that there was just no reason not to.
Thanks for the review.

Cool.

It was nice, pretty fast, like you said, and a pretty cool backbeat, to compliment the foreground music. The cymbols add a nice touch.

demoninabottle responds:

thanks.

I see improvement.

This one had more of a tone-setter than your other songs, it sounded like something I'd hear while walking around a particularly calm planet in Ratchet & Clank, very peaceful and serene. I like the cricket sounds, they give it some nice atmosphere.

If I were you, I would take this l'il gem and make it longer by repeating the theme, embellishing it each time and then winding down back to the original theme before ending, just so that it can loop correctly. Like, here's a more visual representation:
12345432(start over)
The numbers stand for the degree of embellishment in each repetition, as you can see, it gets stronger and stronger and then goes back to normal, to make sure that it loops perfectly. Not only would it make the song longer, but it would give it much more substance.

As you can see, you're starting to get nines from me. Make more stuff like this and you'll hopefully get a straight-ten!

PS. Have you been taking composing lessons o something, or are you just naturally getting better?

demoninabottle responds:

Thanks for the review. No, I didn't even know that there were composing lessons, I'm just spending longer times on my beats.
